{"exhibit":{"title":"Simmons Black Oral History Project","description":"<p>The <em><strong>Simmons Black Oral History Project<\/strong><\/em> (SBOHP) was founded in 2022 by Dr. Tatiana Cruz and seeks to document the lives and experiences of Black Simmons alumnae\/i. To date, Simmons students involved in the SBOHP have collected 23 oral histories from Black alumnae\/i from the 1960s - 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>This digital exhibit showcases some of <strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/beatleyweb.simmons.edu\/africanastudies\/exhibits\/show\/oral-history\/interviews\">the interviews conducted as part of the project<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. It includes brief audio clips with the corresponding transcripts, shared with the consent of the narrators. We are in the process of acquiring the full interviews for the<span>\u00a0<\/span>Simmons University Archives.<\/p>\n<p>The interviews were conducted by Simmons University students in several phases. This exhibit also features <strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/beatleyweb.simmons.edu\/africanastudies\/exhibits\/show\/oral-history\/student-projects\">student projects inspired by the themes and topics covered in the interviews<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.
