Description
South Hall was completed in 1905 as the College's first permanent dormitory. Located on Brookline Avenue, it was connected to the Refectory (dining hall) by a colonnade. As South Hall closely bordered the east boundary of the property line, another piece of land (approximately 100 feet) was purchased in June 1906 as an additional buffer.
Located on the Residence Campus, South Hall will be removed during Skanska USA Commercial Development's 'Longwood Place' project as part of a 99-year ground lease agreement with Simmons.
