Lucia Frances Miree was an Associate Professor of Management and the Director of the Graduate Program in Health Care Administration at Simmons College from 1982 to 1990.
Miree was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1950. Miree earned a B.A. from Auburn University and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Florida State University. In 1986, she received her M.P.H. from Boston University. Her area of academic specialization was organizational communication and training. Prior to joining the Simmons College faculty, Miree taught business courses in the university systems of Kentucky, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
She was a member of the Administrative Management Society, the Association of Business Communication, the Massachusetts Public Health Association, the Academy of Management, and the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. Miree was also a Corporation for Public Broadcasting Fellow from 1974-1975. While at Simmons, she served as the faculty advisor to the Student Chapter of the Administrative Management Society.
