Collection Overview

The Helen Martin Weber papers consist of materials relating to Weber's role as Secretary for the Class of 1916. Materials include correspondence relating to the Alumnae Association, Class Notes submitted for publication in the Review, four editions of "The Secretary's Handbooks - A Guide to Reporting for The Simmons Review," a copy of the 1962 constitution and by-laws of the Nurses Club of Simmons College, and two editions of the Simmons College Bulletin, including the 1955 Report of the President.

Accompanying the Helen Martin Weber papers was a note, penned by Jane Elizabeth Weber (Class of 1944), stating the following: "My mother, Helen Martin Weber was Class Secretary (1916) in the early to mid 1950s. These papers she had tucked away and they relate to those years - To make things easier for your registrar I'll give you the following info- Ella - is Ella Gray, Class President, I guess at some point; Emily We- a 1916 classmate, first director of development at Simmons College in the 1950s; Stell - Estelle - Dr. Hawley, 1916, University of Rochester - article in the Review about her Summer 1956; "Honey" - Helen Weber; Lucy Stearns, Cambridge - Often a class officer."
