Collection Abstract | The Ruth Tallmadge scrapbook collection consists of approximately 40 pages documenting Tallmadge’s daily life at Simmons from 1929 to 1933. The scrapbook consists of signatures and information about classmates, photographs of fellow students, photographs and programs of college traditions such as Freshman-Junior Wedding, Freshman Frolic, Track Day, Faculty Baseball Game, Sophomore-Senior Picnic, Christmas dinner, and May Day Celebrations at both Simmons and Mt. Holyoke and Founders Day Convocation; correspondence, academic records, theater ticket stubs and programs, notes and memos relating to student activities events such as Glee Club and the Young Women’s Christian Association, and programs and newspaper clippings of the 1933 commencement activities. |
