A 'Know Your Roots' sign hung from one of the beech trees behind the Main College Building. Tents are set up in front of the base of the tree in protest of plans to remove the beech trees for the construction of the School of Management building.
Appleton House provided rooms for 30 students and had one Matron in charge of the dormitory, along with an Assistant Matron. It was demolished in 1960, along with Brookline House, to make way for Mesick Hall (1961).
