Narrator: Mary Ann Wilson (MW)
MW: It was mostly people of color in it, but it was fine. It was, he said it was one of the most handsome yearbooks he had ever seen in 20 years at Simmons at that point, and how I had very little time to put together such a wonderful book. But it was definitely evidenced by whatever that I knew how to delegate responsibility, and others helped me make this a wonderful book like I had an artist who was from the junior class, but she was my next door neighbor, and she was so phenomenal and so I was like, oh, I got it. I got to have her in there. I can't even remember. But anyway, i'm looking over there at my yearbook now. But you'll see.
MM: I'll have to look it up, absolutely.
MW: So I- that- that's what Simmons did for me. It gave me power. It gave me knowledge. It gave me- that, um... I must have met some of the most wonderful people. I'm kind of going back on something, but Gwen Ifill was my roommate for about one year.
MM: Wow.
MW: One month. One month. I'm a junior, and they gave me a single, which was, uh, what was it called? A small double.
MM: Mhm.
