The Simmons Review: a Community Time Capsule
From its inception in November of 1918, the Simmons Review has represented the stories and interests of the community with a particular focus on the actions and achievements of alumnae/i. This chapter of the exhibit explores five aspects of the student and alumnae/i experience. These vignettes concentrate on a 60-year period of the publication between 1918 and the early 1980s, a time of tremendous global, political, social, and institutional change and evolution. Looking at different eras during this timespan helps us to see how the mission of Simmons, linking passion with enduring purpose, is a constant and visible throughline in the Simmons Review and its features.
